The Parish Council had taken over the grass cutting of verges and certain areas within Baston and twice yearly maintenance of hedges and shrubs from the District and County Council on a one year trial basis. They have chosen BDG Mowing Contractors from Sproxton near Melton Mowbray. The Parish Council has obtained a grant from both local authorities to pay for the majority of the cost.

Map 2 areas cut previously by SKDC - brown areas are grass, yellow lines hedge maintenance, peach dots shrub bed maintenance.
It is hoped that they will be in the village fortnightly and the Parish Council would welcome your feedback.
