The Parish is a consultee of South Kesteven District Council for planning related matters affecting the village. A group of Councillors take the lead on all issues relating to planning however final Parish Council recommendations to SKDC are the responsibility of the Full Council. SKDC are the Planning Authority.

South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) is responsible for Residential Planning while Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) is responsible for Environment and Commerical Planning such as Waste Transfer Sites and gravel extraction.

SKDC is under a statutory duty to determine planning applications within a period of 8 week for minor ones and 13 weeks for major developments.  For further information on material and non-material considerations click below SKDC Planning Considerations.

Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) provides various guides giving practical advice on how you can make your voice count and make a difference to how development happens in the local area.  For more information on your local County Association or CPRE branch visit their website or click below for details of their planning guides.
