The Parish is a consultee of South Kesteven District Council for planning related matters affecting the village. A group of Councillors take the lead on all issues relating to planning however final Parish Council recommendations to SKDC are the responsibility of the Full Council. SKDC are the Planning Authority.
South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) is responsible for Residential Planning while Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) is responsible for Environment and Commerical Planning such as Waste Transfer Sites and gravel extraction.
SKDC is under a statutory duty to determine planning applications within a period of 8 week for minor ones and 13 weeks for major developments. For further information on material and non-material considerations click below SKDC Planning Considerations.
